According to a report by 7NEWS (Lachie Byrne), WA’s first 3D-printed home is nearing completion in Perth, using a wall-building robot. The method enables faster, cheaper construction with flexible designs.
In my point of view, the development shows that 3D printing in construction is a promising solution for Australia’s housing crisis. Rather than eliminating jobs, it enhances efficiency and affordability. I believe this trend will expand rapidly, offering sustainable and innovative options while creating new roles around operating and maintaining the technology.
